John's Story

Life I've been in the US Navy for over 17 years. It has been a much more rewarding career than waiting tables at the Bavarian Inn. I work as an Electronic Technician and work at Joint Communications Support Element at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Fl. I served onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) from 1995-2000. Went to some pretty cool places such as, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, Korea and the Persian Gulf. I got back from be deplo...Expand for more
yed deployed to the Operation Iraqi Freedom AOR. I have 2 wonderful daugherts (16/13). I am currently in the process of getting divorced...Oh well...Military life is tough. I was promoted to Chief Petty Officer this year. Really proud of that accomplishment. I did one tour in Northern Iraq in 2005 and 3 tours in Doha Qatar. I seem to be gone alot. I just received orders to go to Naval Air Station Key West. I hope to retire after my tour there.
